A Little about Myself

Im Rich Foreman Founder/Executive Director of Indiana Large Bird Rescue Inc.Syracuse,Indiana
Ive been in the Avian Business for many,many years.Ive been Educated by many and Educated many as well.This year the high demand for Avian Rescue Services has forced us to go from a privately funded status to publicly 501c3 and Incorporated.We should have done this years ago.As its been and still is a costly out of pocket adventure.
I started with my passion of birds in 1982 at about the age of 13,When i purchased my first pet"imported" Goffin Too.Yes an imported bird from a pet shop for $200.00!That was alot of yards to mow.I owned this peticular bird for 7 years and rehomed it at 10 years old.Of course after many stressful years of researching & trying to rehabilitate this bird unsucessfully and not knowing why this bird would never stop biting,and its fear of humans never changed.Thru years of extensive research and hands on ive created a unique method of rehabilitation that has helped 100's sucessfully keep their Avian Companion.Ive always had a avian companion in house and will die with one here as well.My passion for the all mighty hookbill will never fade.Our main goal is Education first and foremost,I dont believe the rescue with the most birds wins.If thru Education does not enable to allow a bird owner to keep the companion we will then go over other options we offer to sucessfully rescue,rehabilitate or rehome the pet into a quality approved environment.Ive sucessfully rehabilitated many imported wild caught birds into perfect loving pets.Its an extensive process that takes experience,patience and knowledge.Where some Rescues Just Sanction them.
Ive aquire many years of experience thru Avian Research,Education, and hands on pertaining to Avian Breeding,Importation/Exportation/Rescuing/Rehabilitation/Rehoming,& Sanctioning of large species hookbills.Any question are widely accepted and encouraged.
We Educate thru Media,Schools,Special Events,Bird Fairs,Adoption Fairs/Programs,Funraisers etc.

This is not a Network of any type but a link to network services of the top 100 Service providers to join efforts in receiving info,help,advice,etc. nationwide.
